Why use us?  Quite simply because we are very good at what we do!  And with every introduction coming through a professional referral or recommendation we hope other people think we are very good too.

Each assignment is handled with professionalism and integrity and every one is tailored to the specific needs of the client.  Many of our clients have a very clear idea of the role they wish to fill and the sort of experience that is needed to match their requirements but for others it could be the first time they have needed to recruit at a senior level and they require a lot more input and guidance.  

A typical path for each assignment is an initial chat over the phone followed by a meeting face to face to find out about the business, its culture and its plans to gain a sound understanding of the role and the skills and experience needed.  This is then translated into a full job and person specification which will be sent to potential candidates many of whom will already be known to Ashton Gray and form part of an extensive database of quality people.  Guidance is given on advertising, copy written and the response managed.  All candidates who match the specification will be interviewed and comprehensive notes provided.

There is a very strong emphasis on first class service and delivery based on many years’ experience of working with privately owned businesses and professional partnerships coupled with Caryn Musker’s experience earlier in her career in senior HR roles.  She has an excellent understanding of how and where is best to market each opportunity and will drive the process from start to finish.

Caryn also advises companies on a consultancy basis about how they can improve their recruitment and retention strategies across all areas of their business.  This is likely to appeal to companies who have not recruited for a while and want to be sure they are up to date with changes in the recruitment market, or those who have tried recruiting but are struggling to attract or retain the right calibre of candidates.  These consultancy services are available on a daily rate or a retained basis.
