We have been exclusively retained by a well-run and profitable entrepreneurial technology business with a unique and highly regarded composite technology platform.  With strong growth in the past few years, the company has been restructured and refocused and is now poised to embark on an exciting, new growth phase across multiple markets.

A key piece of the immediate strategic plan, and integral to success, is the appointment of a Chief Financial Officer who will work alongside the CEO to develop and implement the ongoing strategy which involves raising growth funds and grooming the business for a successful exit. This is a broad-based and challenging role and will by its nature require adaptability and flexibility. Significantly, it also offers the successful candidate the opportunity to develop into broader commercial and operational areas and to further their own career.

We are looking for a high calibre and commercially driven finance professional with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.  First class business acumen and the ability to quickly understand how the business works and how to maximise its potential will be essential.

Candidates should be qualified accountants who have previously worked at board level or have the clear potential to move into a more senior role.  Strong leadership skills will be essential to contribute and influence at board level and to establish and maintain effective professional relationships including liaison and communication with shareholders and lenders.

The incoming CFO should have previously experienced the running of a finance function where strong financial controls and cash management are essential to success.  This is likely to have been gained in a high growth, entrepreneurial technology business preferably involving the development of new products and a move into new, global markets.   Additional experience will ideally include input to strategic development and the management of change, M&A activity and securing strategic financing for early-stage technology businesses including VC/private equity.

The successful candidate will be a highly motivated self-starter who thrives in a changing environment which needs to balance competing and concurrent priorities, whilst driving through operational efficiencies and delivering increased shareholder value.
