We are delighted to be working with Runfold Plastics Limited, a well-established and well run privately owned business with an excellent reputation for manufacturing high quality dip moulded plastic component parts for over 1,200 customers in the UK and Europe.  With plenty of latent potential, the business is poised for an exciting and pivotal stage in its development which will see turnover doubling by 2020 and a shift in culture to adding value to products through supplementary processes, deep sector knowledge and innovations in material usage.

Key to this is the appointment of a Commercial Sales Manager who will report to the Managing Director and take on responsibility for all sales and business development opportunities across the impressive range of customers which operate in the Electrical, Automotive, Construction and Leisure Equipment sectors plus other varied OEMs.  The broad and challenging remit will include driving sales to new and existing customers, key account management, being the main interface between the customer and production teams, playing a key and influential role in project meetings and driving the effective use of sales materials and CRM systems.  There are excellent prospects for future progression.

This is a newly created role requiring first class interpersonal and communication skills.  The incoming Commercial Sales Manager will need to quickly gain respect and establish themselves with both customers and colleagues through clear leadership skills and strong commercial acumen.   We are looking for evidence of a thorough knowledge of key account management, CRM analysis and target management together with sound organisational and IT skills and the ability to manage a host of concurrent responsibilities in a dynamic, target driven environment.

Candidates should relish hunting for and winning new business in an extremely competitive and broad based customer environment and be able to show an ability to understand customers’ business needs and products and how these relate to the company’s own products and production processes.  It is therefore highly desirable to have had an engineering or electrical background before moving into a technical sales role.   Previous sectors are likely to include electrical products, automotive or engineering.  Experience of injection moulding could be of particular interest.

The successful candidate could be based from home if not living within a reasonable commute of Liphook.   There will be the need to travel in the UK and overseas on a regular basis.
