Our well-established and highly successful client is the market leader in its sector with sites across the UK and mainland Europe.  Its broad customer base ranges from small local companies to international brands and the company’s success has been built on an excellent reputation for understanding and delivering each client’s specific needs. The business is profitable with an annual turnover in excess of £50m.

The business has enjoyed strong growth in the past few years as it has broadened its range of solutions based services and continued its successful expansion into European markets. Future plans include continued organic growth, acquisitions and the extension of existing products and services into new markets.

Key to ongoing success is the recruitment of a Head of Marketing who will report to the Chief Executive and be responsible for leading the company’s marketing strategy, policies and operations.  Ensuring that these are effective, efficient and profitable and able to maintain and improve the company’s position in the market place will be paramount to success.   The role is operationally focussed, hands-on and broad based in a well-managed and highly successful company.  It requires a strong commercial focus, excellent project management and relationship management skills.

We are looking for a progressive and broad based marketing professional who has successfully delivered a commercially focussed marketing strategy across a multi-site, multi-country and multi-product line business which is fast growing and experiencing cultural change.  This experience should have been gained within an industrial B2B capital equipment solutions led supplier.  A relevant marketing or business qualification is desirable.

The ideal candidate will have a sound understanding of marketing best practice including how to maximise innovative digital media and website design and how to extend this across all marketing channels and materials.  He or she needs to be technologically ‘savvy’, analytical and numerate with a hunger to identify and assess industry trends and data, and drive the effective use of this to maximise the company’s bottom line.   There will be the need to travel in the UK and overseas.
